Filed under: travel — Tags: enjoy, finland, fun, land, travel — libertees @ 1:05 am February 10, 2012

When you hear the name of Finland, you may consider the word as fun-land via the pronunciation. But if you have chance to travel in Finland, you must admit that how fun here is! Finland is called the hometown of Santa Claus and there are many lakes in the country. Additionally, the forest cover rate in Finland is reach up to 97%.

Because of high forest cover rate, the first impression given by Finland is that is a world of green. Lakes are surrounded by green and so do the houses and highways. In my opinion, camping at here is so fantastic that you can have a drink, have sunshine and above all have a comfortable rest. Because of the beautiful and comfortable environment, your heart will be cleaned up and become calm. In summer, whether near the sea or lake, there is abundant sunshine and people from all over the world come here to enjoy the sunbathing.

Sauna is a feature of Finland and there is a sauna contest every year. Sauna lovers from different countries would join the crazy contest to feel the heat 110 °C and challenge the limits of their own. For audiences, they are not free. They usually bring their self-made instruments, knock and shout crazy before the game. The most popular rock songs are broadcasting, children are dancing with the songs and people, whether contesters or spectators, are talking with each other joyfully. After the match start, the atmosphere at here began to become more and more warmer. No matter how long you insisted, the warm applauses will for you. Besides the sauna contest, there are large sauna rooms in every hotel. Many people also have their own sauna room at home. In a word, sauna has been fully integrated into the Finnish life.

Despite Finland is a small country, but Helsinki, the capital of Finland is still a shopping paradise. The price index in Helsinki is so high that the new arrivals turn into the final sale just in a few days. After shopping some supermarkets, the flea market in Helsinki is worth shopping, many wonderful goods can be found in the second-hand market and above all they are very cheap.

This is just a simply introduce, there is no doubt that you would be infatuated with the comfortable environment, life style of sauna, kinds of shopping and other fun things in Finland.

How to Get the Best Travel Deals?

Filed under: travel — Tags: best, deals, travel — libertees @ 1:03 am January 20, 2012

The holiday season is here and you might be thinking of going on a well-deserved vacation to start the New Year all refreshed and charged-up. But then, with so much spending associated with this festive season, you might also have little money left over to spend on traveling. This is why you need the best travels deals and that too in quick time. If you think that it’s ‘mission impossible’, you may want to think again!

Have no Fear, Internet’s Here!

You will surely agree that the internet has revolutionized your life. So when you want the best travel deals, why look further than the internet? In fact, travel booking online is the primary way to do it these days. You don’t pick up the phone, don’t go down to the tour operator’s office and don’t have to stand in any queues anywhere! You can simply book plane tickets, hotels and other travel requirements from the comfort of your home.

But then, the internet is littered with websites which promise you a good deal on travel packages but actually take you for a ride with hidden costs which only find a passing mention in the fine print. So, it’s important that you know the genuine from the scams.

Deal Conglomerates

Deal conglomerates such as TravelZoo are the best bets for finding you great travel deals. These companies work on the philosophy of providing economical travel options for bargain-hunting travelers. They work with a host of hotels, airlines and car-rental services to ensure that each deal they offer is as exclusive as possible. you should remember that these companies are not tour operators but only help you in bringing the best deals to your notice.

Twitter

The hot new tool for micro blogging is a great way to find the best travel deals too. Simply follow the various bloggers on Twitter, who add a lot of valuable information about budget traveling, and you may just stumble upon some great deals too!

Newsletters

Although you may not like the idea of newsletters flooding your inbox, you should know that they are great way to get alerted about bargain travel deals. Subscribe to the better travel service providers newsletters and some great deals may be yours to grab! Another benefit you may get is in the form of discounts which travel companies reserve only for those on their mailing lists. So, make sure that you do not miss out!

Get your Timing Right!

A crucial aspect of getting hold of the best travel deals is timing. It is conventional wisdom that the earlier you book, the cheaper the rates are. As far as travel is concerned, the early bird catches the worm for sure!

Go for off-season rates if you are working with a low budget. You might visit summer destinations in winter and vice versa to find incredibly low hotel rates. You also need to book a suitable deal as soon as it appears on the web. A dream deal may be gone in an hour if you delay too much in pondering other options.

All the best for finding the best travel deals!

Family Travel Tips

Filed under: travel — Tags: family, tips, travel — libertees @ 1:02 pm January 18, 2012

Travel, the word itself conjures up exciting images. Other than providing a change from your mundane and hectic life, traveling also means exploring and getting to know the unknown. When you go on a tour with your family, it is likely to be even more fun filled and fulfilling. Family trips are those that you want to cherish and treasure for your life. However it is not always easy to have a successful and hassle free trip with your family, especially when you have kids to take care of. If you are planning one, you need to be in the know of some important points that will help you throughout the tour. Here are some of them:

Pack Right

When you travel with your family you have to be careful about your packing. Remember that you have to pack in things of daily use as well as those that you might need during the course of your tour. There is the very important first aid kit that you need to take. You can’t expect to find a drug store in a completely unknown place! It is always beneficial to carry an antiseptic, a set of band aids, and some basic medicines in the first aid kit. If you have kids, the items grow much larger in number. You need to take the diapers, baby wipes, zip bags to carry small items, a detergent that will help you get rid of the spots that your kid has got on his clothes and so on.

Start on Time

Don’t start at the eleventh hour! When you travel with your family you have to be all the more careful about the time. It’s better not to rush and run in order to reach on time. Rather starting a little earlier is a good idea!

Relax and Have Fun

Leave your worries and anxieties at home when you go for a family trip. Just have fun and make the most of your free time. Always remember that spending quality time with your family is the biggest boon. So make no mistake! Don’t drag your work along, instead take a light read, or engage in sports activities with your kids. Racquet ball, flying disks etc. can be good options. This will not only keep your children busy, but will also entertain them.

Have the Right Attitude

This is perhaps the most important thing. You need to be in the right frame of mind throughout your trip. Do not let small mishaps or unfavorable situations ruin your entire tour. Everything cannot turn out to be the way you had expected. Don’t spoil your mood or be caught unawares by unforeseen and unwanted situations, instead be flexible and have the presence of mind to ensure a safe and happy trip for your family!

Family trips can be extremely exciting and fulfilling if planned out and executed successfully. Keeping these four points in mind will help you to go about it in the right way. Once you remember these you are all set to have a blast with your family. Have fun!

Ten Travel Tips For Your Great Florida Vacation

Filed under: travel — Tags: florida, great, ten, tips, travel, vacation — libertees @ 1:02 pm January 9, 2012

Whether traveling by plane, train or car the best planned vacations offer the smoothest and safest trip. There is so much to do before going away on a trip, but if planned out your trip will come together with few, if any, complications.

Here are ten traveling tips that will help you plan your vacation:

1. Decide on a vacation destination that fits your family’s lifestyle, desire and budget. If you like the sun then maybe Miami beach is the place for you. If you are more partial to the outdoor adventures then an Alaskan cruise may be in order. Learn all that you can about the area that you have decided upon traveling to. Research the best season to travel to your destination. Take into consideration such things as weather, popularity, school vacations, etc. In some states the seasons can play a major role on your vacation. As well, school vacations are an ideal time to take a vacation. However, to avoid the crowds planning to take a few days when there is not a scheduled school vacation may be a good thing to do.

2. Money. If you cannot afford to take a trip without struggling it would be better to put a little bit of money aside each week instead of going into deep debt. It would most likely be more stressful for you to have to worry about finances, which would defeat the whole purpose of a stress-free vacation.

3. If traveling by plane or train booking your travel arrangements well in advance will likely offer you the greatest savings in transportation fare. If you will be needing accommodations booking well ahead of your vacation time could also net you some savings. There are some wonderful online resources to book directly with savings offers available. Do not be afraid to book in this manner. Be sure, however, that the plans that you make are done to your liking before hitting that finalizing button.

4. Be a list maker! Making lists is a great way to be sure that you did not forget anything. Take a few minutes alone in a quiet and relaxing spot and write down everything that you need to do to plan your trip. Include in this list anything that you need to do there. You might even be able to take care of some things while you are still at home before you go, such as reservations to a popular restaurant. Make a list of what to pack and things to do before you leave home.

5. If it is just you and your partner and you have kids, make arrangements to leave them with a responsible party. This goes for any pets that you may have also.

6. Get online and print out any coupons that you may be able to use once you get to your destination. There are some great discount offerings available for restaurants, entertainment and other attractions.

7. Before you sign anything either at the train depot, the airport or the car rental agency make sure that you read it thoroughly and understand it. Do not be afraid or feel ignorant in asking questions. It is a lot better to ask a question than to get socked with a bill later on for something that you did not understand.

8. Check your health out before you go on your trip. See your doctor and obtain any medication prescriptions that you may need before leaving on your trip.

9. Call and be sure that all of your reservations are in place the evening before you are to leave. You do not want to have any surprises once you arrive at your take off point. It would be a stressful situation to arrive in Miami and find that you did not book the room correctly or that they did not process it correctly.

10. Sleep. So often we get so excited before going on a trip that getting some needed shut eye is almost impossible. If you cannot sleep during the night then take a short nap during the day.

Growth Through Spiritual Travel

Filed under: travel — Tags: growth, spiritual, through, travel — libertees @ 1:08 pm January 5, 2012

Traveling for many is a way of unwinding and recharging their batteries but often at the end of one’s travel there is still a feeling of not feeling satisfied which is when it pays to consider spiritual travel as a means of finding fulfillment. Sometimes, all the Gothic cathedrals in the world and all the lovely Madonna portraits are not enough to lift up your spirits and so it pays to consider traveling to a place where you can find spiritual awakening.

Spiritual travel is not just a catch phrase that you hear from the lips of a travel agent because in fact people have from the very earliest times been making pilgrimages. Religious travel is therefore not something that has just become popular. In fact, in the sixteenth century Jesuits from Spain made their way to far away Paraguay and to Brazil as well as to Argentina for the purpose of establishing missions to convert the native peoples of those regions.

Nowadays, there are many places that you can visit if you want some spiritual satisfaction and some of these places are vastly different to the Vatican and to Yucatan and even to Egypt. There are for example numerous monasteries that have been erected by Buddhists which though mainly located in Asia are also found in the US and also in Europe.

To get the true Buddhist spiritual experience you will want to choose Bodhgaya as your destination. This is a place that is part of the Indian state of Bihar and it is here that Lord Buddha sat under a Bodhi tree and finally became enlightened about the meaning of life. This part of the world where Lord Buddha became enlightened has become the home of a giant complex called the Mahabodhi Temple.

This particular place is truly exceptional as the surroundings are serenity personified and everything here is absolutely peaceful so as to promote true spiritualistic experiences. It is here that monks read the Holy Scriptures and spend their time contemplating the complexities and meaning of life.

The best way to fly into Bodhgaya is to take a flight from Kolkata to Gaya airport. However, if you want to fly in from the rest of India you will need to deplane at Patna airport that is almost a hundred kilometers away from there. A train journey is the more relaxed and cheaper mode of transport and all it requires is to get off at Gaya from where Bodhgaya is not far away.

If you are traveling from other parts of India then there is the main airport at Patna the state capital of Bihar and this airport is about eighty-seven miles distant from Bodhgaya. Of course, if you don’t mind a train journey then it is certainly more convenient to use this mode of transportation that is cheap and which will help you reach Gaya very easily.

There are few better places to find spiritual peace than Bodhgaya that has kept itself pure and untouched by the ravages of modern civilization. So, a visit to Bodhgaya will not only be very pleasant and productive; it will also be a very different and unique experience as well.

Security Travel USA “won” free bahamas cruise and 4days/3nights accommodations?

Question by jugglaman: Security Travel USA “won” free bahamas cruise and 4days/3nights accommodations?
Yeah, I was taken by this. Now I want a refund for my $ 87.50 is there anyone who had any luck getting this?

I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve fallen for this. I thought I was a bit more cautious, but apparently not. I knew it sounded fishy when I was listening to the nearly 10-minute long instructions.

My girlfriend was the one who discovered the voicemail and she went absolutely nuts, screaming, yelling, jumping up and down. I’ven ever seen her so excited. After listening to the “tax” and “administration” fees I was somehow convinced it was a good deal. (but why should it be a “good deal” it’s supposed to be FREE!) — Why didn’t i think about that before i gave them my credit card? UGH! I hate learning the hard way.

So, has anyone been successful in getting a refund from this crock of SH*T!? I will call them when their office is open and see what they say, then I will try a charge-back with my credit card company, but wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with this company? THANKS!

Suck it up and enjoy your “free” cruise…btw
I hope you also enjoy sitting in on all those lectures trying to get your money for a time share.
If you don’t buy, you will get the worse treatment you have ever experienced.

Finding The Best Travel Bargains In Today’s World

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: bargains, best, finding, todays, travel, world — libertees @ 1:05 am November 28, 2011

With the financial crisis not yet over, it is no surprise that most people are afraid to spend on a number of things. Those who risk it, however, are also as cautious and would oftentimes look for bargain deals first before making any commitment.

The same scenario holds true even for people who need to travel every now and then, much more for people who need to make unplanned travels most of the time. But how exactly can you find the best last-minute deals?

One of the first things that you can do in order to avail of last-minute deals is to search online. You can either go to your favorite airline’s site to check whether they offer last-minute deals or look for travel agents that specialize in last-minute bargains. Other individuals go to the extent of booking flights just a few days before the date they intend to leave. Keep in mind that most airlines would rather sell seats at a lower rate rather than not get nay income at all.

You can also make use of vouchers for travel. Now this one can be quite tricky as there are very few people who sell travel vouchers. One of the ways you can get these vouchers is if you get bumped off from your original flight. Oftentimes, along with the airline vouchers, you also get to enjoy meal vouchers and hotel accommodations especially if you would need to stay overnight. You can also get travel vouchers in cases wherein you complain about unsatisfactory airline service.

Last minute travel bargains also mean flexibility. You should be willing to fly during early hours or late at night. Flying also during weekdays instead of weekends can be much less expensive; plus points for you if you are willing to do courier travel as this could slash about 50% of the total airline ticket price.

Another way to secure last minute travel bargains is to compare what your airline has to offer with what renowned travel agents can give you. Since travel agents negotiate with these airlines by the bulk, there is a bigger possibility that they could offer seats at a lower price than what your airline is offering.

Come see what were all about and visit us at http://www.thetravelsteals.com.

Travel Sickness Expert Offers Puma Method to Guarantee Carefree Holiday Cruising

Filed under: Blog — Tags: Carefree, cruising, Expert, Guarantee, holiday, Method, offers, Puma, Sickness, travel — @ 1:30 pm November 24, 2011

Winchester, CA (PRWEB) November 23, 2011

The cruise industry is growing even in these trying economic times. The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association forecasts 16 million individuals world wide will choose a cruise vacation in 2011, a 6.6% increase over last year. Many of these vacationers, especially those going on their first cruise, are concerned about the potential of experiencing seasickness. In fact, fear of getting this type of motion sickness is probably the number one reason that many vacationers who love to travel do not cruise. They know the nausea, stomach cramps and vomiting that characterize travel sickness will certainly put a damper on any cruise fun.

Thankfully, most people don?t get sick on cruise ships. Big vessels don?t move around nearly as much as small boats. But, it is smart to be prepared, according to CruiseSavvy.com, especially if you are sensitive to travel sickness on land or have not cruised before. One of the most effective ways to do this is with the Puma Method for Prevention of Motion Sickness exercises.

These exercises raise a person?s tolerance to the movement aboard a ship as well as a variety of motion sickness producing activities, such as reading in a moving vehicle, riding in a small boat or flying in an airplane. The mild head, neck and upper body exercises stimulate the body?s own mechanism, called habituation, to boost a person?s tolerance to motion sickness causing activities. No drugs or devices are used, so there are never any negative side effects. The exercises take only about 15 minutes a day. Conditioning starts right away and in as little as one week a person can begin to enjoy activities that used to make them feel ill. This new level of conditioning is automatically maintained as the individual participates in these new activities. The Puma Method exercises do not need to be continued unless a higher level of conditioning is desired.

?The best way to deal with seasickness is to actually prevent the symptoms,? states Dr. Sam Puma, president of Puma Applied Science and developer of the Puma Method. ?To date the Puma Method has been just about 100% effective for those who follow the program so, why even worry about the possibility of becoming ill? Even a mild concern about seasickness can detract from the overall enjoyment of a cruise. Today?s cruise ships offer a new generation of on board features and a world of innovations including surf pools, planetariums, demonstration kitchens, and on-deck LED movie screens. The Puma Method will allow vacationers to enjoy every aspect of their cruise experience.?

Those interested in learning more about all types of travel sickness including seasickness, airsickness, carsickness, cybersickness and space sickness, and the Puma Method for Prevention of Motion Sickness can visit pumamethod.com.

Founded in 1995 by Dr. Sam C. Puma, Puma Applied Science is a privately held research and development company specializing in aerospace medical concerns, human factors, and life support systems. It was through Dr. Puma?s 36 years of experience as a physician in the aerospace industry that he developed and perfected his method for the prevention of motion sickness.

The company introduced the Puma Method for Prevention of Motion Sickness in 2003. Other projects under development are a high acceleration aircraft to gather data on gravity-induced loss of consciousness and an associated sensor, and a hands free computer interface for persons with disabilities.
