Filed under: Blog — Tags: Aboard, call, cruises, Launches, Passenger, Permanently, photos, princess, royal, Showcased — @ 12:30 pm March 22, 2012

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (PRWEB) January 31, 2012

Princess Cruises is looking for 1,000 passenger-submitted cruise vacation photos to permanently showcase aboard its new Royal Princess when the ship debuts in spring 2013.

The line has launched a ?1,000 Memories at Sea? contest inviting passengers to submit their best cruise vacation shots, which will be displayed on the walls of hallways between staterooms and in other locations around the ship. In addition, one lucky photographer will win a cruise for two, including airfare, on Royal Princess.

Whether they captured the perfect Caribbean sunset, caught Alaska wildlife in action, found a breathtaking rainbow over Hawaii, or snapped a meaningful moment onboard, passengers can submit their favorite cruise photos on Facebook, at princess.com/royalprincesscontest or by mail. The ?1,000 Memories at Sea? contest will be judged by a panel which is looking for creativity, originality, style, and images that capture the spirit of what it means to ?escape completely.? Contest judges include Rai Caluori, Princess? executive vice president of fleet operations; Teresa Anderson, the line?s vice president of interior design, and Ian Johnson, director of photography and video for Princess.

?With the introduction of Royal Princess, we wanted to pay tribute to our passengers and their vacation memories made aboard our ships,? said Jan Swartz, executive vice president for Princess. ?This contest will be a fun opportunity for 1,000 of our passengers to be permanently recognized aboard our new ship, so they should start sifting through their travel photos now, and submit a remarkable shot to be considered.?

The ?1,000 Memories at Sea? contest runs through March 31, 2012 and is open to entrants 21 years of age or older, residing in the United States, Canada (excluding Quebec), the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

Full entry details for the contest can be found at princess.com/royalprincesscontest.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) February 06, 2012

Royal Caribbean International?s new brand campaign is targeting New York-area commuters, both above and below ground, by taking over the 42nd Street S line in Manhattan this February. As commuters are transported between Times Square and Grand Central Station, the award-winning cruise line is giving them a taste of the Royal experience with fully-branded shuttle cars supporting the cruise line?s new messaging. First rolled out in December 2011, the campaign is focused on reawakening consumers to the sights and sounds of the sea by communicating the decree, ?The Sea is Calling. Answer it Royally.?

The subway cars, which are wrapped both inside and out, reflect actual Royal Caribbean cruise ships. The cars? interiors are each separately wrapped as an onboard theater featuring marquees of some of the Broadway shows guests can see onboard select Royal Caribbean ships such as Hairspray, Chicago and Saturday Night Fever; an onboard spa with bamboo showers and masseuse; as well as an open deck area complete with a Flowrider surf simulator and surfer. Each car conveys the options for entertainment, relaxation and adventure that can be enjoyed on a Royal Caribbean cruise vacation. Commuters, who will be treated to special surprises during the month, are encouraged to take photographs and videos to share with friends through their social media channels, tagging Royal Caribbean by using the specified hashtag #RoyalShuttle. Royal Caribbean also challenges fans to find ?hidden treasures? in the shuttle artwork, including characters such as Shrek and Po from the cruise line?s exclusive partnership with film studio powerhouse DreamWorks Animation.

For New York-area residents inspired to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, Royal Caribbean offers convenient cruising options to Bermuda and the Caribbean out of Bayonne, N.J., and Baltimore, Md., onboard Explorer of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas. Royal Caribbean?s innovative onboard amenities, upscale accommodations, dining and entertainment are all delivered with the cruise line?s signature Gold Anchor Service, all within a few-hours drive from home.

To further support the campaign, Royal Caribbean is offering a special ?Book to Win? incentive for travel agent partners who book 2012 Bermuda sailings on Explorer of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas, between Feb. 6 and Feb. 20. A minimum of five cruises are required to qualify for contest entry. The grand prize winner, announced on Feb. 20, will receive dinner at an exclusive Grand Central Terminal restaurant, a ride on the Royal Caribbean branded shuttle to Broadway, and tickets to the hit Broadway show ?Chicago.? The second place winner will be awarded a $ 100 gift certificate. Agents also are invited to visit the Royal Caribbean shuttle experience and share pictures with clients through their personal social media pages.

They do sail to the Caribbean, but they also travel to additional incredible places like Alaska, Asia, the Bahamas, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, Bermuda, Europe, plus many more. They also give quite a few excellent land cruise excursions, which often incorporates an escorted seaside visit at your port of call. It can be done on a first class motor coach or railway. This enables you to decide whether you are going to see more of the country you are going to.

All twenty-two Royal Caribbean Cruise Line cruise ships have names ending in “of the Seas”. Every one of their cruise ships have a lounge positioned at the top of the ship. It is referred to as the Viking Crown Lounge, and provides a panoramic look at your surroundings.

They offer some of the most exciting on-board amusements to their customers. There are helpful lectures pertaining to your destination, as well as the entertainments the ship will offer. You will be guided around the ship, and you will discover lots of on-board facilities, such as ice skating rinks and gambling halls on-board. It also has a program called Adventure Ocean that is planned just for children.

There is also a massage center and spa on the cruise ship for you to take benefit of. They provide a well equipped fitness center and exercise center for you to take advantage of, too.

For small children, there is a Adventure Ocean Youth Program, which consists of Aqua babies and Aqua tots for young toddlers. There is a kid friendly rock climbing wall that will certainly assist in keeping your kids happy, while they have fun with other kids they meet at the play center. Your kids will be occupied with their own exciting recreational activities, so your spouse and yourself can slip away for a land tour by yourselves, if you wish.

Terrific meals and dining entertainments are just one more of the major attractions when you sail with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. They prepare a large variety of delicacies that can be had in the different dining areas.

To schedule a luxury cruise, all you need to do is go to a travel agent’s website, and request that they reserve a cruise to your favorite destination for you. Bangkok Hotels: A Royal Treat

Perusing the hotel reviews

Having never travelled to the Far East before, I really wasn’t sure what I was supposed to expect in a country such as Thailand (the land of smiles) as it is otherwise known. Nor had I any idea about the country’s recent history, culture or about the language. I mean was there such a thing as Thai language? Apparently yes.  One thing was for sure though, that is; I’d have to stay in the Royal City of Angels (Bangkok) for a couple of nights for a business seminar to see some people about a business venture.  Scared? Not really, after all it is just another city. Hesitant? Yes, since I hadn’t had a chance to book a hotel suite in the center and time was running out. Of course, you’d think it’d be easily done but when you have no time to research and not enough sleep to concentrate, you tend to worry about which kind of hotel you will end up staying at.  After all, it’s not as if I need to stay in some royal palace. Meanwhile browsing the web, I did find one advice site and it went like this:

[Aside from the obvious categories of class and style without forgetting that ominous matter of affordability, choose a business hotel that is located in the heart of the commercial business area of Bangkok. Go for one that offers a range of suites from superior standard rooms to suite and royal deluxe rooms plus great reliable services. They must have access to all the city attractions, historical sites like the Royal Palace and convention centers.

Your hotel location should be in a convenient area at the heart of Bangkok’s business center, although slightly set back “away from the bustle” to allow for rest and retreat after a hard day’s meeting. Check that access to and from the international and domestic airports is simple and available. Less than 80 minutes to and from the airport. Access by car or by public transport is also recommended. Good access to all business points, without forgetting the tourist attractions. Business people need time-out for touring, separating business from pleasure.

Aside from hotel service and staff efficiency, service should also include the amenities in the vicinity of the hotel and the kind of service offered from the surrounding shops, restaurants etc. Poor service from surrounding amenities would almost certainly suggest a poorly infrastructured area and to be avoided at all costs.

Rooms and suites

The business hotel should cover an extensive range of suites that are spacious, luxurious, and perfectly kempt at all times. Standard types to suite types fit for aristocracy that includes all modernisms of high-tech communications, amenities, large-size beds, good views and everything any guest would need for a five star hotel suite stay.

Great advice to those of you starting out, but I’ve been on business trips before so I actually do know what kind of place I need for a business convention. It’s not like rocket science. Finally, I gave up surfing the net and simply asked a friend if he knew of anywhere. He came up with two words; Dusit Thani, a beautiful five star palace in the center of Bangkok. Perfect for tourism and business and amazing service.

It just goes to show, it’s what you know, it’s who you know.

Would you Dusit Thani? Don?t dream, book your suite at a Bangkok suites . Visit the Dusit Thani Hotel website for more info.
