Boredom Need Not Check In On Cruise Ships

Article by Claire Collins

One thing you?ll never hear on cruise deals is the familiar holiday cry of ?I?m bored?! of course, the many ports and stops are an entertainment in their own right, life on board is an extremely exciting and fun-filled time too. No matter your age or travelling companions, you?re guaranteed you won?t have time to be bored.

You can learn a lot aboard a cruise ship. Art auctions, cooking demonstrations and arty activities including glass-blowing and ice carving are often there for the taking. Most cruises also have an on-board library ? imagine the different books you can choose from.Variety really is the spice of life with cruise deals. Cruise ships boast at least three restaurants plus numerous food outlets. Try sushi one night, a Mexican buffet the next or go all out in a steak restaurant. And when it comes to a tipple, you?ve got plenty of places to choose from to enjoy that too; piano bars, sports bars, outdoor bars and more.

Sports fans won?t be left out either. All inclusive cruises always offer swimming pools, many offer mini golf (imagine putting in the middle of the ocean!), table tennis, pool volleyball, basketball and even trampolines too. Group sporting activities are often held during the day, so join in a game of dodge ball or volleyball if you think you?re up to the challenge.

The ship really comes into its own after dark. All ships have their own entertainment crew who constantly surprise and delight sailors. Variety performances, game shows, musicals and comedy acts are just some of the entertainment for you to enjoy. Read your ships daily newsletter to time what you watch ? sometimes there?s so much to choose from, you won?t know where to start!

Or, if you?re feeling lucky, a turn at the on-board casino can keep you entertained for hours. Or why not watch the pros at the Blackjack or Shuffleboard tables or try your luck on the slot machines. Cross your fingers and you might win big!

And don?t forget a little music. Fancy yourself as a bit of a musical diva? Join in with the karaoke! Or watch one of many professionals singing a tune or two in the different bars whilst enjoying a cocktail or two. Deck parties keep the momentum swinging all night long, as do on the on board discos and nightclubs ? make sure to pack your dancing shoes.

A Caribbean Cruise may already be in your mind but you still may not know what to anticipate. Cruise ships also have the facilities and services found in high-class hotels. Of course you desire to spend your vacation thinking of nothing but relaxing. You want a vacation connected to the environment, a vacation with an active nightlife and of course a vacation with a dinner in a first class restaurant. All these are included in vacation packages of Caribbean cruises.

Now, how do you envision an ideal vacation? Is living with nature a great idea for you? Maybe, you desire to have a shopping spree in a first class department store. Or, maybe you would opt for active and noisy bar hopping and disco? Anyway, whatever your choice is, a Caribbean cruise provides them all.

Caribbean cruises are one of the most popular vacation cruises all over the world. For most people, it has always been a wish to go to the Caribbean islands. The island has a fantastic blend of contemporary and natural sceneries that provide an exciting mix for this.

A Caribbean cruise will provide you with various selections from a two-day journey to a long trip. It only depends on which of the selections you want to have.

Caribbean cruises are usually divided into three, the eastern, western and the southern Caribbean. If you want to have short trips to the Southern Caribbean, you will head off from Puerto Rico, Aruba, if not in Barbados. Longer trips on the other hand might depart from the U.S. While the Western Cruise will head off from the Gulf of Mexico, normally Florida, Alabama, or Louisiana.

Caribbean cruises are great as family cruise especially during school vacations. All throughout the year, the cruise is prepared. Holidays will be the busiest time for the cruise, so if you are thinking of having a Caribbean cruise, plan and book for it in advance.

All the top cruise lines give some of the Caribbean cruise schedules. You will absolutely get an exceptional food experience, helpful service staff and a great view of the natural world. You will also be given a chance to rest on the deck, enjoy the amusement centers and win more money at Vegas style casinos.

You will also have the luck to discover the scenic beauty of St. John’s beaches and Virgin Gorda’s sea caves. In addition, go and buy yourself a bottle of French fragrance in the serene lanes of St. Barthelemy.

The Caribbean cruise will allow you to see the appeal and quality of each place you visit. In order for you to have great sight seeing of this beauty, remain quiet as an observer of all the natural wealth surrounding you.

If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation with a lot to offer, it’s likely that a Caribbean cruise is your solution.

In Her New Novel, Author ArleenAlleman.com From Castle Rock, CO Addresses Cruise Ship Accountability & Inspires Conversations About Murder & Crimes on Cruise Ships

Castle Rock, CO (PRWEB) March 05, 2012

Criminals are almost protected within cruise ships, where the law of international waters and ports becomes murky. In her Darcy Farthing mystery adventure series, author Arleen Alleman explores the lawlessness that pervades luxury cruising. In the first novel, Currents Deep and Deadly, protagonist Darcy overhears a murder for hire plot, after which crew members begin to mysteriously disappear; in a nail-biting denouement, Darcy must confront a vicious killer.

In the second novel, Currents of Vengeance, Darcy and company return to the Sea Nymph to use it as a case study for a joint investigation by the Government Accountability Office and the FBI. Paul Denezza has not been held accountable for the violence on the last cruise and the team, comprised of Darcy, her now-boyfriend, Mick, and Tom, the former chief of security on the Sea Nymph, plan to use the investigation to find evidence against him.

While this undoubtedly makes for page-turning stories, readers should not ignore the sinister truth that is brought to light within these stories. Alleman?s novels, the January 20th 20/20 investigative report, ?Cruise Ship Confidential,? and the headlines of the last week make it impossible to deny that accountability at sea is a topic that deserves more attention from media, cruise line officials, and lawmakers.

The Darcy Farthing Mystery Adventure Series

Alleman?s series centers around Darcy Farthing, a pragmatic woman in her forties, who readers were first introduced to in Currents Deep and Deadly. After coming face to face with a vicious murderer in the first novel, she wrote a book about the madness she confronted, which completely changed her life, both personally and financially. The third installment in this page-turning series, Current Assets, is slated for release in Autumn of 2012. To watch the book trailers, visit http://www.arleenalleman.com/trailer.htm.

Arleen Alleman

Arleen Alleman spent 21 years as an analyst for the Government Accountability Office. After retiring from the GAO, Alleman and her husband became avid cruisers, which inspired her to write stories set on cruise ships. In her two six-week cruises around Cape Horn; the first was spent writing her book and the second was spent doing book signings and promoting her books. Survey Says: A Cruise Vacation Heats up Romance for Couples

Filed under: Blog — Tags: Couples, cruise, Heats, romance, Says, Survey, vacation — @ 1:30 pm February 29, 2012

Miami (PRWEB) February 10, 2012

For couples looking to rekindle the spark in their romance, the sea is calling with a million ways to fall in love again. According to a recent survey commissioned by Royal Caribbean International*, most Americans (90%) astoundingly ranked sex as the top activity on their cruise itinerary. Respondents also consider cruises to be the most romantic type of vacation while offering a better value for their dollar (84%). More than four out of five respondents also say that a cruise with their partner is more romantic than a land-based vacation, with a whopping 98% opting for an exotic cruise ? to Bermuda or Europe, perhaps ? as a special way to celebrate a special moment or occasion, such as Valentine?s Day or an anniversary.

Royal Caribbean offers an endless array of options for keeping the passion alive. With 22 innovative ships, calling on more than 270 destinations in 72 countries across six continents, there is something for every couple ? whether they envision a romantic epicurean experience with their significant other, exploring a port of call or simply sharing an intimate moment in the privacy of their stateroom. Based on the survey results, other reasons why couples should consider a cruise vacation with Royal Caribbean include:

????Love Liner: The vast majority of survey respondents say they left their last cruise feeling more ?connected? with their partner (80%), being more in love with their partner (67%) and feeling more attracted to their partner (65%). Royal Caribbean can supply the ship ? all you need is your mate.

????Relationship Rx: Is it possible to cruise your way to a better relationship? Perhaps. Nearly three-quarters of respondents say that spending time with their significant other on their most recent cruise improved their relationship.

????Port of Love: Respondents indicated that they are more likely to enjoy a number of romantic activities on a cruise than on a land-based vacation, including watching the sunset (72%), strolling in the moonlight (58%), stargazing (56%) and sharing a romantic dinner ? deux (55%).

????The Motion of the Ocean: Half of the respondents say they are more likely to be intimate on a cruise than on a land-based vacation. And not only is sex more frequent on a cruise vacation, but many (62%) report that the sex on their last cruise was better than normal. Perhaps not surprisingly, night time is the right time, or most popular time of day to be amorous on a cruise (31%), while 28% prefer any time of day ? morning, noon or night.

????Nautical Naughtiness: 24% cite their balcony as the place onboard where they would most like to be intimate ? other than their stateroom, of course, and 58% are more likely to pack lingerie or sexy underwear for a cruise than a land-based vacation. For an astounding 90%, sex ranks as the top activity on their cruise itinerary, ahead of sitting by the pool (84%), enjoying nightlife options (83%) and shopping (70%).

For a limited time, there is one more reason why Royal Caribbean should rank high as a vacation choice for couples. During the ?Month of Love,? lovebirds who book a cruise to Bermuda or Europe by Feb. 29 will receive a free ?Romance Package? onboard ? including roses, chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling wine. Ships visiting Bermuda stay overnight in port, so couples can enjoy one-of-a-kind experiences like sunset glass-bottom boat tours and snorkeling by moonlight. For guests booking a European cruise, no other part of the world has more memorable moments for two such as visits to legendary landmarks, gorgeous coastlines and charming towns. Royal Caribbean offers more than 100 itineraries for every romantic possibility.

Royal Caribbean has been committed to answering the call of the sea for the past 40 years, sailing every major sea in the world. With its history of creativity and innovation ? delivering many at-sea industry firsts such as ice rinks, rock-climbing walls, zip lines, surfing simulators and Broadway shows ? the cruise line continues to strive to deliver to guests an unforgettable and rejuvenating experience that appeals to vacationers of all ages.
