Cruise deals to make your Christmas

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: christmas, cruise, deals — libertees @ 1:03 am May 9, 2012

We would all like to have a bit of sun this Christmas but that seems very unlikely so our only chance of some sun is to go on holiday abroad. There are a few options once you have decided to go abroad and if you are so far undecided then consider a cruise.

If you are not stuck to a budget then a cruise should be the perfect holiday for you. If you are one of those people that love to travel around exotic places then you are in luck as there are a range of cruises that will allow you to visit some of the most amazing places in the world. The cruises are well designed so that you get to spend as much time as possible at each stopping destination so you can admire the surroundings and experience some of the culture.

There are plenty of cruises that are priced differently and the cost increases depending on how far away you travel (obviously!). There are some reasonably priced cruises available to places such as Spain, Morocco and the Canary Islands. This cruise covers places such as Savona in Italy, one of the places that claim Christopher Columbus was born and lived there. Barcelona, Spain’s second biggest city is also on the agenda and if you have never been before then you are in for a treat.

Arrecife, Malaga and Casablanca are also destinations that you will stop at and all 3 are very popular amongst tourists and are definitely worth a visit even if you have been before. The cruise returns and finishes at Savona and you can recap on the fantastic time you have had on board the cruise liner. All that needs to be done now is to hop on the short flight back to the UK and your cruise holiday is unfortunately finished.

Cruises are great fun because when you are off the boat and visiting the great destinations you can experience some of the culture available. Even when you are on the boat and cruising to your next destination there is plenty onboard to do such as great entertainment, tasty selection of food and drink and comfortable rooms to relax in.

There are some leading companies in the cruise sector that you should consider and there are some great P&O cruises available as well as competitve Cunard Cruises too.

Bob Brightside is an experienced author in the travel sector having worked in the industry for many years.

A Sydney Christmas

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: christmas, sydney — libertees @ 1:02 pm November 24, 2011

In Sydney, Christmas is a summer festival. Hence there is no snow or snowman, and the feast usually does not even include a roast turkey! Unlike other countries in the west, in Australia, Christmas festivities include a lot of summer activities and celebrations.

As it is not a white Christmas, Santa Claus is not envisioned as coming riding with all his gifts on his sleigh. Just as the people, who love being outdoors to enjoy the warm weather, in Sydney, Santa is also seen wearing his designer sunglasses and enjoying the beaches and the harbour. There are pictures of Santa wearing dashing swimming trunks, sporting a hat and relaxing on the beach with a cool drink in his hand! He may relax under a colourful canopy or he may bask in the sunshine! He may, like the people of Sydney, enjoy the sea – windsurfing, waterskiing or riding a speedboat! Of course, it’s left to one’s imagination – Santa could be playing beach volleyball or beach soccer! And even if he were to come on a sleigh, it would be hopped by huge kangaroos (or boomers as Australians call them) across the sky!

In Sydney, people do not spend a lot of time indoors decorating the house and preparing the feast – not when the weather is warm, the beaches inviting and the Sydney Harbour reposing in an inviting languor! In comparison to the west, the holly and the mistletoe are conspicuously missing. Plants native to Sydney, like the Christmas bush and the Christmas bell, are used commonly for decorations.

The Christmas feast also has an Australian flavour and Sydney attitude in that they are mostly enjoyed outdoors. Instead of the turkey, people go for the vast variety of seafood that is available in the fish markets, and they enjoy barbeques (or ‘barbies’ as they are fondly referred to!) and relaxed parties on sprawling lawns. The fish markets of the Blackwattle Bay are thronged by people who come shopping for fish and other seafood. The leading hotels and restaurants organise lunches, dinners and parties that boast of a vast spread of choice seafood.

Sydney Harbour cruises are the best choice for those who would wish to enjoy both – a lovely feast and the great outdoors! Magistic Cruises offer five-star quality food that would include a wide variety of seafood freshly prepared onboard and a lovely cruise around the Sydney Harbour past the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge and many other famous landmarks! Sydney Showboat cruises offer Christmas Party lunch and dinner cruises. Besides the fine dining experience with a great variety of delicious seafood and the exciting experience of a cruise around the Sydney Harbour, there is also live entertainment such as cabaret shows and live jazz bands!

Whether it is celebrated outdoors, on the beaches, around the harbour or on a cruise, Christmas in Sydney is sure to be a feast of fish, fun and frolic!

Christmas Cruise

Christmas on the Lady Cutler

Celebrate this Christmas with family & friends on Lady Cutler – Melbourne Showboat.

Cruise out of the Docklands, down the river, under the Bolte and Westgate Bridges and past the huge container ship in the Port of Melbourne. Arrive in Port Phillip Bay and see the wonderful views of the City and beaches. Catch your memories of your special day with loved ones against the great scenery on camera and don’t forget to be on your best behaviour. You might get a surprise visit from Santa Claus!

This is great way to treat the whole family with beautiful food, stunning views and quality time together and the ferry the Lady Cutler is the perfect venue you can hire for a great time with your family, friends and loved ones.

The Lady Cutler

Lady Cutler was laid down in March 1968 and launched at the State Dockyards in Newcastle, NSW on 10 August 1968. She was commissioned soon afterwards on 8 October and quickly made her mark on Sydney’s gay harbour life. In many ways she was different to the “classic” old Sydney ferries, but the double-ended style and effect was a similar derivative. She was followed by two almost identical sister ships – Lady Woodward and Lady McKell – on 19October 1970.

The Lady Cutler served with great distinction for 22 years on the inner harbour run and was decommissioned in 1991. Many people fondly remember her as daily commuters from the inner north shore to the city and others as day trippers to Luna Park and Taronga Zoo. Along with the Lady Woodward and Lady McKell she was originally sold to Hong Kong interests but the deal fell through. In 1998 she was sold to Ron Morrison and then to Shannon Harper, removed from Port Jackson and steamed south to Melbourne.

She completed her refurbishment in Melbourne and started her service life again in December 2007. She was re-commissioned on 13 January 2008 by the wife of the late Sir Roden Cutler VC, Lady (Joan) Cutler, who flew down from Sydney for the occasion. Today the ferry functions as a host for special events and offers a number of Melbourne river cruises. For more information on Lady Cutler, please visit their website at www.ladycutler.com.au

Arrange your Christmas party on Sydney Harbour Cruise

Filed under: cruise — Tags: Arrange, christmas, cruise, harbour, party, sydney — libertees @ 4:59 pm October 19, 2010

Almost all vacant posts in the last few years, I have one of these simple Cruises we have all heard, accepted. The Caribbean is a best cruise end. All these small islands and all that tropical sun! Love it. They are cheap, too. About $ 500 you can spend a 3-day cruise $ 2,000 or more for one or two weeks. Most of the food, parties, and amenities are included in the price, but check for details before you make your booking.

A Christmas harbour cruise offers the best trips you can save your dollars. It includes taking your meals, your cabin, you will be promoted on board, parties and all the fun. Each cruise ship is an entire city and end in itself.

There are many types of Christmas cruises and this makes it difficult to pin-point cruise line, how you in your journey. The competition between the various cruise lines is very strong and as if each address individually, you can obtain a less biased opinion of seeking advice from someone else who can advise on the best that a travel agent is. Cruises different groups require different labels such as what you should dress in the evening, so that further consideration should be worn. Also going through the various stations of the cruise for some cruises tend to spend more time at sea than others.

In harbour cruise there are spas, casinos, swimming pools, sports halls, buffets, movies, music, dance and much more. All you on the ground, you cannot at sea on a cruise. It can really be pampered and have a great time meeting other singles. It is a nonstop party! Sometimes I mix a lot. I’m going to definitely meet to third parties. But sometimes I ask to go to meet someone with the rest of the trip. I myself stayed in touch with some of them after the cruise. I do not know that I ‘Meet the one’ is, but it can happen!

On a typical vacation, the family is connected to each other fairly regularly, not on a boat cruise vacations. Everyone can follow his interests and the family agreed on a date. A cruise is a thrill for family reunions because it in. something for every generation to inspire.

Another aspect in choosing cruise boat is your holiday price. Each cruise has different prices depending on the type of book you want to cab. If you choose inside cabin, prices are generally cheaper, but that’s not a good option if you are on the other hand, only artificial light in sunlight. It could even be a good idea, a good overview on the cruise ship to you, before you make your reservation. An older ship have cheaper rates, but also means that you will about modern alternatives of losing the cruise, exciting as the big resorts and stunning glass elevators.

Do something lasting and significant baggage, so it does not recognize only to you, but also allows small eyes, fellow travelers know that your luggage is not their bag. Place sticker on, painting a Day-Glo strips around, sew a teddy bear on the outside … only make sure that he stands by itself.

Cruise ships have a policy against bringing alcohol on board, but the policy is to be enforced very loosely, if you do not put them on display. In other words, not a belt on a case of Budweiser handle and examine it, how you load your luggage or carry-on bag with bottles of Wild Turkey. Discreetly packaged airline bottles of liquor or beer cans probably go unnoticed. Do not sponsor a group of Frat, but we can certainly help a little.

Christmas Party Cruise

If Christmas is not far away, you’re sure to be thinking of enjoying a white Christmas, filled with white, soft sand and a shiny, white cruise liner. If you want a restful and different kind of Christmas celebration, then perhaps a Christmas party cruise is a good bet.

But hurry, because holiday cruises are the first to be sold out, so if you’re sure you want this special holiday, get on to a good Sydney Christmas party cruise organizer and you’re your holiday.

Here, you can get into the spirit of Christmas by enjoying the festive decor in all the public rooms. Plus, the cruise liner will also have fun and games for the entire family, kids included, to set the tone of the holiday spirit.

For instance, holiday music is so essential for everyone to have a good time. You can enjoy it in all the cabins and in the live entertainment areas. Your Christmas party cruise might also have special programs for kids, with themed crafts and a Christmas show for all kids to participate in. Apart from singing, dancing is also a popular activity for kids. The Christmas programs ends with gifts from Santa and a photo session with him.

Perhaps the Christmas party cruise you choose places a gift for in the stateroom. They might also have fun parades for kids and a model gingerbread house. All adults will have themed parties to celebrate the event with champagne toasts and all the season’s trimmings.

Another feature some ships include is to have a Rabbi on board and to complete the picture, you will be served kosher wine and potato pancakes, while kids will enjoy themselves making Christmas decorations for the trees.

There are so many Christmas party cruise organizers that on some you might also be witness to the ship’s captain hosting a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and you might even partake in singing carols and eating cookies and drinking hot chocolate. Kids are given many gifts from Santa on some of the better liners and continue to enjoy the Christmas mood by celebrating Boxing Day too.

And on American liners, the Christmas party cruise begins at the terminal where you see Disney characters all dressed up for Christmas. They greet you as you board the ship. On these ships, you will find a tree, three decks high with magic snow falls on it during the tree lighting ceremony. And there’s a lot of caroling by the crew and activities ranging from decorating the many gingerbread houses to falling prey to Goofy’s surprise visits to the kids. Santa makes a special appearance too, much to everyone’s delight.

And if you just want to relax without doing too much, why not settle down to seeing a few movies, or enjoy a Christmas show put up by the crew on Christmas Eve or get yourself ready for Santa’s visit-who knows, he might even come to you parasailing!

However he may arrive, laden with gifts, this holiday is the season’s best gift you could give yourself-a Christmas party cruise.

How to Find Cheap Travel Deals on the Internet.

There are several good and reliable travel sites on the Internet where you can find great travel deals and save big bucks on your next holidays.

However, getting the best deals is not always as easy as we think. Even though there are hundreds of travel sites out there, getting a bargain is not always simple.

Some of the well known sites, which I have personally used without any problem, are: Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, Cheap tickets, Ebookers and Last minute.

Still, to find a good deal within these sites is not straightforward, a digging job has to be done to find the gold, despite the easy to use and wonderful sites these brands above and other companies have.

One of the activities that should not be missed is comparing your traveling schedule among the sites of your choice, because no one has the best prices, for all routes, always. Each one has its own specials and when someone has a bargain in certain route, usually the others have not the same special price.

To do this job, there are some websites which compare among these popular travel sites for the destination of your choice and after spotting the lowest fare, you can always go back to the lowest fare site to review the conditions and make the purchase, if you wish.

Major airline sites, often have special deals which are not published through travel sites, so taking a look to the airline sites, which travel to your selected destination, could give you surprisingly good fares for your flight.

Regardless the site or sites you choose to look for your travel information keep in mind the following tips when planning your next holiday.

Book as advanced as you can. Airlines fares increase as the time for departure approaches.

Try to arrive and depart in a mid-week day. Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

If you have flexible dates, chances to get a bargain will increase. Sometimes, a trade show or a special event will make the city of your destination very expensive for a given week, while a couple of days later or earlier, the prices could drop sharply.

For obvious reasons, avoid holidays. It is practically impossible to find a bargain during holidays, even more, airlines increase prices during holidays.

If you are traveling during Christmas, usually the Christmas day itself is cheaper than the days before. The same applies to Thanksgiving and other crowded holidays.

Try to use several websites to research your travel information, and then you will identify the most appropriate website for your needs.

When traveling to Europe from the US, try getting to a major city like London, and then use the local cheap fare airlines to travel around Europe.

When booking a hotel, use Expedia or Travelocity to see the pictures and location of the hotel, even if you book later in other site with better price.

Use as many sites as needed to book different parts of your holidays, if you get the best price in each one of them.

After you select a flight or hotel in any travel site, get into the airline and hotel sites directly and compare prices.

Verify that the site where you are purchasing has good reputation and uses SSL encryption when you pay online with a credit card.

After you receive the confirmation code from the travel site where you made the purchase, mail directly to the hotel and/or airline and confirm that they got your reservation exactly as the one you purchased.

Following these tips will give you the lowest fares available on the Internet and will avoid you unpleasant surprises when traveling.
