Princess Cruises Launches Call for Passenger Photos to be Permanently Showcased Aboard New Royal Princess

Filed under: Blog — Tags: Aboard, call, cruises, Launches, Passenger, Permanently, photos, princess, royal, Showcased — @ 1:30 pm February 21, 2012

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (PRWEB) January 31, 2012

Princess Cruises is looking for 1,000 passenger-submitted cruise vacation photos to permanently showcase aboard its new Royal Princess when the ship debuts in spring 2013.

The line has launched a ?1,000 Memories at Sea? contest inviting passengers to submit their best cruise vacation shots, which will be displayed on the walls of hallways between staterooms and in other locations around the ship. In addition, one lucky photographer will win a cruise for two, including airfare, on Royal Princess.

Whether they captured the perfect Caribbean sunset, caught Alaska wildlife in action, found a breathtaking rainbow over Hawaii, or snapped a meaningful moment onboard, passengers can submit their favorite cruise photos on Facebook, at princess.com/royalprincesscontest or by mail. The ?1,000 Memories at Sea? contest will be judged by a panel which is looking for creativity, originality, style, and images that capture the spirit of what it means to ?escape completely.? Contest judges include Rai Caluori, Princess? executive vice president of fleet operations; Teresa Anderson, the line?s vice president of interior design, and Ian Johnson, director of photography and video for Princess.

?With the introduction of Royal Princess, we wanted to pay tribute to our passengers and their vacation memories made aboard our ships,? said Jan Swartz, executive vice president for Princess. ?This contest will be a fun opportunity for 1,000 of our passengers to be permanently recognized aboard our new ship, so they should start sifting through their travel photos now, and submit a remarkable shot to be considered.?

The ?1,000 Memories at Sea? contest runs through March 31, 2012 and is open to entrants 21 years of age or older, residing in the United States, Canada (excluding Quebec), the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

Full entry details for the contest can be found at princess.com/royalprincesscontest.

Inclusive Caribbean Vacations

Inclusive Caribbean Vacations

Article by Paul Proffitt

If you are looking for a vacation with little to think about, including money, then an all inclusive vacation on one of the Caribbean islands might be for you! There are many reasons put forward as to why the number of all inclusive CaribbeanVacations is greater than the number of bed and breakfast only vacations. One theory suggests it is part of a plan to attract more visitors to the Caribbean; however, there is very little evidence that this is the case.

The chances are that this popularity is a result of the ease with which people can book the all inclusive Caribbean Vacation; especially for people that like to know there are few other financial outlays to expect. There are even specialist packages, so it doesn’t matter what your interest or requirements are you can guarantee they will be met. Many people traveling to the islands are returning to see family and not so much is needed; there is generally no need for anything other than a flight to be arranged.

It is one of those destinations where an all inclusive Caribbean Vacation option is the most affordable. Whilst many people like to book everything themselves, this isn’t always the least expensive option as operators can offer massive discounts. Those travelers who have spent their lives devoted to arranging everything themselves would not agree to a vacation organized this way. It is surprising, even now, just how many people that book an all inclusive vacation aren’t aware of what they are actually going to get for their money.

No matter what type of vacation you are arranging, one thing remains constant and that is the room will be included in the package. All meals and any additional food are included in this type of package but that is not always the case; this arrangement can vary but the majority will at least supply a cooked or continental breakfast. Even now, some visitors are not sure of the difference between an all inclusive vacation and a full board package.

There is actually quite a big difference when you consider an all inclusive Caribbean Vacation that supplies all food and drink but a full board arrangement only includes three meals each day. Many hotels will also supply their guests with discount vouchers for events, entertainment and meals for example; whilst guests may receive a discount, they still have to pay. Most all inclusive Caribbean Vacations will however, normally include all these as part of the package; dining at sister hotels or restaurants at no additional cost is quite normal and means you do not have to spend a great deal of money even if you leave the resort.

Incidentally, I have really gotten into traveling the last year or so, and hope to write many more articles on the subject, as well as offering advice on anything else that I feel may be of interest!

Renaissance Charleston, SC Hotel Offers Cruise Deal in Time for Winter Escape

Filed under: Blog — Tags: Charleston, cruise, deal, escape, hotel, offers, Renaissance, time, winter — @ 1:30 pm February 18, 2012

Charleston, SC (PRWEB) February 02, 2012

Planning a cruise is always a special occasion, made even more special by the magic of the holiday season. For those families spending the holiday season at sea and visiting tropical ports-of-call, consider staying at the Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel. Located just one mile from the Port of Charleston?a popular cruise ship port?the Renaissance hotel is a favorite amongst downtown Charleston hotels, and is offering a special hotel deal for those leaving on a cruise vacation.

One of the biggest (and only) hassles of a cruise is finding the best place to park. While many private parking lots look affordable initially, the cost adds up over the course of a cruise. Fortunately, this Renaissance hotel has the answer in the form of a Charleston hotel deal: the Park and Cruise Package gives families and guests an affordable and safe place to leave their car while providing great overnight accommodations near the cruise terminal.

Instead of rushing to the Port of Charleston, guests staying at one of the best downtown Charleston hotels can simply sleep overnight, knowing that the next morning will be as simple as boarding a shuttle or taxi to the Port of Charleston. With all the extra time afforded to guests before their cruise, they can enjoy a relaxing breakfast at the on-site Wentworth Grill (up to two adults per Charleston hotel deal). And since the Park and Cruise Package offers complimentary parking for up to 11 days, guests won?t have to stress about costly parking spaces while sailing the high seas.

Another benefit of taking advantage of this Charleston hotel deal is the ability to explore downtown Charleston before a cruise. Since guests will not have to scramble to the Port of Charleston the next morning, they are free to go about the town and enjoy the historic district, which is particularly vibrant during the holiday season. Holiday events include everything from sleigh rides through town to walking tours of some of the most elaborately decorated buildings in Charleston?and even a holiday pub crawl.

To book the Park and Cruise Package at the Renaissance Charleston, SC hotel, simply use promotional code QZR online or by calling 1-800-228-9290. This deal is valid seven days a week through 1/16/12. For more information about this and other Renaissance Charleston hotel packages, visit http://www.marriott.com/CHSBR

As commuters are transported between Times Square and Grand Central Station, the award-winning cruise line is giving them a taste of the Royal experience with fully-branded shuttle cars supporting the cruise line?s new messaging. First rolled out in December 2011, the campaign is focused on reawakening consumers to the sights and sounds of the sea by communicating the decree, ?The Sea is Calling. Answer it Royally.?

The subway cars, which are wrapped both inside and out, reflect actual Royal Caribbean cruise ships. The cars? interiors are each separately wrapped as an onboard theater featuring marquees of some of the Broadway shows guests can see onboard select Royal Caribbean ships such as Hairspray, Chicago and Saturday Night Fever; an onboard spa with bamboo showers and masseuse; as well as an open deck area complete with a Flowrider surf simulator and surfer. Each car conveys the options for entertainment, relaxation and adventure that can be enjoyed on a Royal Caribbean cruise vacation. Commuters, who will be treated to special surprises during the month, are encouraged to take photographs and videos to share with friends through their social media channels, tagging Royal Caribbean by using the specified hashtag #RoyalShuttle. A minimum of five cruises are required to qualify for contest entry. The grand prize winner, announced on Feb. 20, will receive dinner at an exclusive Grand Central Terminal restaurant, a ride on the Royal Caribbean branded shuttle to Broadway, and tickets to the hit Broadway show ?Chicago.? How to Choose a Caribbean Vacation Home

Filed under: Blog — Tags: caribbean, choose, home, vacation — @ 1:30 pm February 15, 2012

How to Choose a Caribbean Vacation Home

I know what you’re thinking. You think that since you have quite the average pension, you wouldn’t be able to live a decent retirement life in the tropics of the Caribbean right? So, you limit yourself by skimping on the things that would satisfy you and at times simply forego the dream of going to paradise and choose to just stay where you are.

The thing is, all this is simply a misconception. You can have the life you really want at an affordable cost! You don’t believe me? Well, listen up. There is a country in Central America that is gaining popularity these days and do you know what they say? Houses in Belize are half as much as you would pay back home, but twice as grand and they have never been more true.

Belize is in Central America and is a third world country, though their currency is pegged to the dollar as 2:1.

Meaning only two Belizean dollars is equivalent to US. Living there is quite an experience and there are a lot of expatriates and retirees who have left their old lives so they can start anew in this new place of pure paradise.

It’s not just the beautiful surroundings and breathtaking adventures Belize has that attracts people. Here, there is a program called the Qualified Retirement Program that gives retired people extra convenience and other perks. One can even qualify for the program at the age of 45! Isn’t that just wonderful? You don’t even have to be above fifty to take advantage of the program.

Homes here are decent and one can get developers who really do the fine work with only a fraction of what you would normally pay back home.

Otherwise, you can always buy houses that are already built and you will find them decent and comfortable enough for a comfortable life.

However, if luxury is what you really want at a decent price range, then take a look at the new community to hit Belizean shores. Sanctuary Belize is a safe environment that gives its residence more than what paradise can offer. One does not even have to leave the community since everything has already been provided. If you’re worried about where to drop the anchor for your yacht, then Sanctuary Belize’s Sapodilla Lagoon would be a great place for this. Enjoy their Marina and Yacht club by dining, shopping and even fly fishing. Aside from that, they have private resorts and spas for the residents and their guests. There, you can experience world-class resort amenities and services you can’t find anywhere else. Residents sure are in for a lot of marvelous things in this community.

Houses here are built with decadence and superb craftsmanship, so you would definitely get more your money’s worth when living here. Surprisingly, they know very well what’s happening in our global economy, therefore they have devised options for people to avail of these wonderful offers. By giving them financial options, such as 0% down payment or 0% interest, asking about what else they have wouldn’t hurt.

There are a lot of Belize real estate opportunities in Sanctuary Belize, so be sure to check it out.

Belize – simply a paradise. Own a piece of that Jewel now! SanctuaryBelize.com is the best belize real estate for you. They offer buyers from all walks of life, the opportunity to maximize the benefits of property ownership in Belize. No other community offers such abundant natural beauty, modern amenities, and return potential – for so little investment.
