Is it cheating if I am forced to sleep with a client to close a business deal? And make a hefty bonus?
Question by Ted M P: Is it cheating if I am forced to sleep with a client to close a business deal? And make a hefty bonus?
Long story short, my new Sales Manager position places a lot of pressure on me to generate sales in this tough economy..especially in the Building Materials trade.
An older (late 40′s to early 50′s) female architect/designer which my company has been trying to do business with the past 5 years is once again asking us to present a detailed proposal to supply materials and services on a new project. This one job could possibly generate up to $ 8-10 million dollars for our firm in the next few years.
The only catch is that its common knowledge for her to expect “things” during the sales presentation. All meetings are at night, 2 hours away from our office so hotel stays are required.
Our last 2 sales managers were overweight, cigar smoking alcoholics who never got past the preliminary 1st meeting.
We (I) , have been asked to move forward to prepare 2nd and 3rd level estimates, shipping and procurement details, and product specs. The owner of my company is excited that we have gone this far for the first time.
He came up to me on Friday and asked me me how I was doing because I only have a week left to prepare. He also said that I should do “whatever I have to” to close the deal, and then explained to me what may be expected of me. This woman (called Leslie for example only) managed to sleep her way to the top of her company, then was lucky enough to become a wealthy widow and take over. She is very attractive ( I would say she reminds me of a mixture of Katie Couric and a younger Goldie Hawn), and has a very good body, so the physical requirements will not be hard to deal with.
Also, a $ 20,000 bonus over my normal salary + commission will not hurt either. Plus, this deal would ensure that there will be no lay-offs or job losses in the next few years.
The only difficult part is keeping the fact from my wife. Or, she I hope that her rational side sees the same benefits that I do, and possibly a new set of jewelry and cruise ship vacation will put her at ease.
I may only have to “seal the deal” once or twice until the contracts are signed.

Not if your S.O. doesn’t find out. I would do it.
What do you think? Answer below!
Don’t do it, you may gain a lot of money but lose your wife in the process.

NO one is forced to have sex unless that person is raped. I don’t care how much of a bonus you would get. If you are married or in a relationship it is CHEATING to have sex with a “client” to close a deal. Its cheating if you are having sex with someone other then your spouse/partner.
I would tell your boss that sorry you are married and you will NOT cross the line and “do whatever you have to” to close the deal. Even if it means he will fire you. You keep yourself committed to your spouse.
Go home and tell your wife that in order to close a deal you will have to sleep with this women and you’ll get a $ 20,000 bonus if you do………….see what she tells you!

You should tell your wife, but if you don’t have much money then I would do it and not tell her. IDK I’m only 14, but man that’s some good money.

A man who has sex with a wealthy widow in order to get money to buy his wife some goodies is a special king of low life.

lol gross
what if she has aids or something?
and ye if you’re married, it’s cheating, are you some kind of retard to not know that?
well, lol, you can be the little bitch if you want if it’s all true what you say.
however, people ALWAYS spread rumours about their bosses etc, and “sleeping their way to the top” isnt unheard of, in the way of gossiping.
in short, yes it’s cheating and old business people are gross!!!!!
lol gross 50 year old vagina

Well, it’s considered cheating, but you do what you must. Now when I was in Tampa, Florida, I met with a Realtor and she showed me some houses. She was single and we had dinner and got acquainted very well. When I found the house I wanted I was hesitant and she said to me that she will do what ever I want to seal the deal on the house and so I asked her for a date and that night we went to her house and got it on. After we had sex she had me sign the papers to close the deal and the house was sold. Sometimes you never know what is in store when you seal a deal.

Cheating or not, it’s still illegal in this country.

Tell your wife what is happening if you love her. If she agrees, take a tape recorder to every meeting you have with this woman and your boss. There is no “rational” side to it. You are flattered, and trying to find a justification for what you have already made up your mind to do.
You will need the $ 20K to pay your divorce lawyer, not to mention you may want to consider sexual harrassment, not against the woman who is unmarried and entitled to flirt with whomever she wants, but your boss.
As I said, you are flattered and little puffed up that this super powerful woman (who may have slept her way to the top, but wouldn’t make it in a man’s world, which construction is if she wasn’t just good at her work, but exceptional). There is absolutely no way of knowing if you would measure up to her satisfaction – in fact you may be a sorry sack of ….. in bed. What if you are SO BAD that you lose the deal – and your wife. You know, not everyone is compatible. Did that occur to you and the boss?
If you had any class, you would invite this woman AND your wife out to dinner. Flatter her, and let your wife shine. Women are quite often not the predatory bitches you men would like to think – out to take advantage of every innocent man they meet. They enjoy the flirt same as the next person.
You may be surprised to learn this woman isn’t what you think. And at the end of a nice evening, you will still have your honor intact, the contract, and your wife.
By the way, the person who went “ugly 50 year old vagina” needs to get a reality check. If SHE is lucky, she will find that 50 isn’t very old any more, but I guess when kids start having sex at 12, it seems like they will never get to 50. By the way, you haven’t said how old you are. Your take on this is that of a very unsophisticated person who doesn’t know how to handle a business situation.
Just curious – how does your boss KNOW for a fact that sexual favours are a part of this lady’s modus operandus? He doesn’t.
After all, he was such a poor judge of character that he HIRED not one, but two overweight, cigar smoking alcoholics who couldn’t get past the preliminary meeting. Shows what a judge of character HE is, doesn’t it?
