How to Pack for a Cruise
Alright, so you’ve ordered your passport, you’ve bought your plane tickets, you’ve booked the cruise and you leave tomorrow. There’s only one problem, you haven’t started packing yet! Most of us dread packing and procrastinate until the last minute, so don’t feel too bad, but waiting until the last minute makes you prone to over packing on the stuff you don’t need, and forgetting a lot important essentials. Well you’re in luck because I’ve compiled a list of your cruise must-haves. Follow my list and you will want for nothing from back home.
Tip #1: If you are traveling with your spouse or significant other, rather than packing everything you own separately, mix your stuff with your spouses in two different suitcases. That way, if one of the bags gets lost on the flight, you’ll at least have a few things to wear on the cruise.
Tip #2: When you leave your home, make sure you have your airline tickets, cruise documents, passports, driver’s license, medical insurance cards, medical history, credit cards, another valid picture ID, cash, a list of emergency phone numbers and a watch.
Tip #3: Pack all of your necessary electronics. This includes: phone charger, laptop, camera, underwater camera, ipod, and flashlight.
Tip #4: Bring all of your medication and prescriptions. You may also want to include: ear plugs, a small first aid kit, hand lotion, bug spray and sun screen.
Tip #5: Pack all extra necessities. This may include: extra luggage name tags, a Swiss army knife, clothes pins, a sewing kit, playing cards, a travel pillow, a small umbrella, hats, visors, an empty tote bag, zip lock baggies.
Tip #6: Pack all essential clothing items. This includes: underwear, pajamas, socks, purses, belts, scarves, walking shoes, sandals, jewelry, swim suit, flip flops, workout clothes, formal wear and formal shoes, shorts, Capri pants, slacks, sweat pants, sweatshirt, sweater and a raincoat.
Tip #7: Bring all of your miscellaneous grooming supplies. This includes: a blow dryer, curling iron, comb, hair gel, hair spray, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, shower gel, shave gel, razors, toothbrush, toothpaste, tweezers, dental floss, make-up mirror, make-up, moisturizer, nail polish, nail polish remover, nail clippers.
If you’ve followed all of my tips, then you’re sure to be prepared for you cruise. Just think, soon you’ll be lounging on some in the middle of the ocean, in just a few short days.
