I’ve always maintained that Greeks are not to be trusted.
This proves it beyond a doubt…

@The4LA2Baker0 The excuse of wanting to arrange rescue efforrs is pathetic and the fact that the crew left the lower deck portholes open, shows a complete lack of care or concern. I strongly believe in the following quote and I really believe it fits this situation: Actions speak louder than words.

@Msdistarr Realizing the fate of the ship, the crew fled in panic, neglecting to close the lower deck portholes, which is standard policy during emergency procedures. No alarm was raised. Passengers remained ignorant of the events taking place until they themselves witnessed the first signs of flooding in the lower decks. At this stage, eyewitness accounts reveal that many of the crew were already packed and ready to depart, seemingly unconcerned with the safety of the passengers.

@Msdistarr Captain Yiannis Avranas was accused by the passengers of leaving hundreds behind with no one other than the ship’s onboard entertainers to help them evacuate. Avranas claimed that he left the ship first in order to arrange for a rescue effort, and then supervised the rescue effort from a helicopter. Avranas stated, “When I give the order abandon ship, it doesn’t matter what time I leave. Abandon is for everybody. If some people want to stay, they can stay.”

@The4LA2Baker0 Are you kidding me? So not only did he leave his sinking ship, he placed the ship in jeapordy in the first place by taking it directly into a gale force storm? That goes beyond negligence. Thats should be attempted murder. He put those people in harms way and then failed to make ANY attempt to save them as is his job to do so, as a captain and a human being. His reward for this fine performance is with command of another ship? A sinking ship I hope. Let him see out it feels.

@fixty100
haha no way you would rather die? I heard that dying sucks. i would get the guitarist to play some epic solos and the magician to work his mystical powers to keep the boat afloat. Maybe sacrifice some of the passengers to Dagon.

In case you are wondering what punishment befell upon the Captain for neglecting his duty and cowardly abandoning ship, leaving passengers to fend for themselves, after leading the ship into a gale force storm that caused the crippling damage….
Captain Yiannis Avranas was given another boat to command directly after the sinking.

I actually can’t believe how heartless that captain and his crew was. Using lifeboats for luggage. Using lifeboats for themselves. Let’s hope they got lost and a shark ate them. -.- Good on the passengers for saving hundreds of life’s though.

It is rumoured Chuck Norris was onboard when this happened. He sneazed inside the ship without covering his face…

@Shareallicu That captain should get sued and never be able to work on a boat even as a janitor ever again.
